Before you move ahead with the idea of creating a website, do make sure that you have an effective plan beforehand. If you do not have a plan, first work on that and then strive on creating online visibility. For creating a website plan, you first need to understand your business, products and services in the offering, targeted audience, market norms, and what your competitors are doing.
In order to make an appealing business web site, you will need many things -knowledgeable manpower, domain name, content, graphics, and many more. It is very important to note that your domain name is one of the most important things and must be chosen with great care. For example – If you are operating a perfume business under the name ABC Ltd., your domain name should be www.bestperfumes.com and not www.abcltd.com. This is because potential customers are going to search you by what you offer unless you own a powerful business empire like Apple or Microsoft.
Coming to website content, it is very important for you to realize and remember that only a regularly updated website submitted to search engine directories has a high probability of being searched by the customers. This means that your website would need appealing, fresh, unique, and relevant content on a regular basis.
One thing that most business owners do not understand is the fact that customers do not like 100% flash-based websites; graphics should be used but not more than 5 to 7 percent. The website must load itself fast and should not comprise of distracting web banners or tools.
